So Obinna has conveniently abandoned regular blog posts or articles for this short bursts of quips and anecdotes abi?

Not to worry. We’re fine with it and I’m sure, the artistes don’t mind either.

This is a good one aimed at the “industry” itself.

Cue appropriate instrumentals…

Read. Learn.

As I write this, the song #whoyouepp plays in my head. Not so much the rap verses but the hook and instrumental.

I’m not the biggest Olamide fan but there’s no doubting his work ethic and uncanny ability to churn out hits [back to back], this inclusive. By the way things are going, the remixes to #whoyouepp may outnumber those of Ice Prince’s Oleku even though, I don’t have the analytics to back this up.

Anyway the #whoyouepp theme resonates and has hereby inspired this piece.

Some of us spend time trying to figure out what’s best for the other person using our minimal reasoning to believe that if it applies to one it applies to all.

When I say this, I imply that social media platforms have created a place for unqualified shrinks such as myself to give advice on a variety of subjects; some I huff through others I quickly “research on” via google then present as my thoughts.

And then there are those of us who believe being “blunt” and “keeping it real” give us the licence to be obnoxious, rude and invasive.

These are the ones I want to ask, “who you epp?”

Their timelines are filled with vitriol against anything or anyone they do not agree with. They exhibit a minimum sense of tolerance and somehow pass it off as humour.

My own be say, nobody go hold your leg say make you no express yourself but no forget say as you dey give your whole truth, anoda pesin view about dat truth sef deserve de same space wey you wan choke.

And while we’re at it, check out my basement recorded verse on the #WhoYouEpp beat.

Just when we thought we’d read it all, Obinna had to spring a Nollywood on us with a sequel! This one’s aimed at Naija Music Producers but who says the rest of us can’t pick up a thing or two from it?

Once again, cue Biggie’s TEN CRACK COMMANDMENTS while you read:
